Inman Park

Inman Park, a lovely intown neighborhood featuring stately historic homes and abundant mature trees, is Atlanta's first planned community. Located two miles east of downtown, Inman Park is one of the nation’s first garden suburbs. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Inman Park was conceived and developed in the 1880s by Joel Hurt who insisted on large lots, curving streets and open park areas throughout the neighborhood.  During the last full week of April every year, Inman Park presents a street festival widely regarded as Atlanta's most eclectic and spirited.

Inman Park children attend Atlanta Public Schools as part of Student Reform Team 3 (SRT 3).  The schools for Inman Park are Mary Lin Elementary School, Inman Middle School, and Henry W. Grady High School.
